PRITS is ready for renewal of digital vehicle registration sticker

Starting September 1, all vehicle owners whose registration sticker expires on September 30, will be able to renew it through the Driver Service Center’s (CESCO, by its Spanish acronym) app, CESCO Digital.

To introduce the event, the main technology officer of the government of Puerto Rico, Antonio Ramos Guardiola, attended the TurnosPR call center to clarify citizens’ doubts regarding the new process.

“At PRITS, we continue to lead the digital transformation of the Government of Puerto Rico as established by Governor Pedro Pierluisi’s public policy. In this sense, we are close to starting the second phase of the transition to the digital label. This Friday, September 1 the renewal process will begin for all vehicles, based on the renewal date of the vehicles and later, on December 1, we will continue with the renewal process for heavy vehicles,” the official explained.

Ramos Guardiola explained that the electronic appointment management system, TurnosPR, has a division designated to attend this topic.

“The general manager, Jorge Rosado, gave us a presentation on the responsibilities of this area of work. Likewise, the call center supervisor, Jennifer González, showed us that the collection of data from citizens is being worked on correctly,” said Ramos Guardiola.

The registration sticker, or “marbete digital,” will also serve as the electronic toll sticker, eliminating the need to obtain a separate one. Those without the toll sticker will receive one when making their renewal.

To register the sticker, drivers can access the CESCO Digital app or www.cescodigital.pr.gov. Drivers can also do it at authorized centers or sales points, such as inspection centers, banks, collection centers and cooperatives. If their sticker is registered, they can make the annual payments through the app, or at authorized centers and sales points.
